Get your story from the back of your brain onto the page!

We're bringing our Start Your Story workshop to Oceanside!

Join our 3-hour generative writing workshop to learn how to create a compelling, entertaining, and authentic narrative. If you've never written before--no problem! We'll give you the tools to tell your story.

You'll leave the workshop with a solid outline or draft for a 5-10 minute nonfiction narrative, and the confidence to submit a draft to the upcoming Volume Up! San Diego Stories: Oceanside show in December!

We hope to see you there -- come ready to write, give and receive feedback, and have a great time.

Register HERE.

This program is designed just for youth and young adults (ages 14–24) who have walked foster or adoptive paths.

If you know a young person who is ready to write their truth, build their skills, and connect with a community of peers who truly get it, this is their sign to join us!

Join us for an afternoon of raw, powerful, and real stories right across the street from the Chula Vista ArtFest!

Hear from 5 (mostly first-time) South Bay storytellers as they share moving, hilarious, and thoughtful firsthand accounts.

Where: Chula Vista Civic Center Library Auditorium
When: Saturday, September 26th
Time: 2:30 PM
Admission: Free and open to the public (donations gratefully accepted)!

Bring a friend, support local art, and celebrate the voices of South Bay. See you there!
